Get the Look!! Aishwarya Rai 's Cannes look !!
Hello beauties :)
I recently wrote an article for Pavli Style..which you can check out HERE, as a new beauty contributor on the site. And here it is... Just thought I'd share ;) xx
Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is such a beautiful Bollywood-Hollywood actress, she is a truly inspiring person, well, at least to me. I adored the make up she wore at Cannes Festival. Her hair was teased back in a bun, and the focus was all in the face. I adore it. And I'm going to tell you how you too can get the look with cheaper more affordable products. Let's get started!
Firstly, apply ELF's studio line mineral infused primer with your clean fingers and blend it all over your face to smooth out any skin imperfections.
Then, use NYX HD foundation to cover up any flaws and to have a flash-friendly canvas. Blend on your neck. Apply with ELF's studio powder brush for an airbrushed streak free look.
Use ELF's regular line all over cover stick in 2 shades lighter than your skin tone to hide any discolourations. If it has yellow undertones it will cancel any purple on your under eye area. Apply with your clean fingers, extend the product downwards halfway toward the nose to form an inverted triangle. This will give the illusion that any bags are non existent and it will also brighten up your eyes. BONUS!
Apply ELF's all over cover stick in a shade similar to your skintone to hide any imperfections or broken veins, on the nose, crevices, chin or any area you need to conceal. (optional)
To set everything and have a photogenic finish, set the whole face with ELF's mineral booster in tinted using ELF's studio kabuki brush.
For the eyes, apply ELF's mineral eyeshadow primer on your eyelids and blend on your lower lid with your ring finger. Apply ELF's regular line custom eye eyeshadow in moondust all over the lid and on the lower lid. Use ELF's studio eyeshadow c brush to apply. Layer it with the same brush using ELF's regular line custom eye eyeshadow in sage. Using ELF's regular line blending brush, blend the eyeshadow using a light hand of ELF's regular line custom eye eyeshadow in golden glow. Highlight your browbone and inner eye corner with ELF's mineral eyeshadow in innocent using ELF's regular line eyeshadow brush.
Apply ELF's studio cream eyeliner in black on your upper lashline using ELF's studio angled eyeliner brush. Apply ELF's studio cream eyeliner in coffee on the waterline and on the inner eye corner using the mini angled brush that it comes with it. Apply a ton of mascara on the upper and lower lashes using Avon's Supershock Mascara in Black and L'Oreal's Voluminous Mascara in Carbon Black. You can apply Ardell's Demi Wispies False Eyelashes using Duo Surgical Eyelash Adhesive (optional).
For eyebrows, apply ELF's studio line eyebrow kit's wax in light strokes using the brush that comes with it. Using the other side of the brush, set the wax with the powder that also comes with the kit. Use ELF's regular line wet gloss lash and brow to set the brows for a polished look.
For the face, apply NYC Smooth Skin Bronzing Face Powder in Sunny 720 underneath the cheekbones using ELF's studio powder brush and blend on the cheeks. Blend some bronzer on the temples, forehead and under the chin. Apply ELF's healthy glow bronzing powder in luminance as a highlighter in a slanting motion starting from underneath the eye and blend over the bronzer. Apply this highlight with the tapered part on ELF's studio blush brush. Blend some of the highlight on the centre of the nose.
For the lips, line with NYX long lip pencil in coffee and apply Wet n Wild's Mega Last Lip Color in Bare it All 902C. Then, with your finger, pat Sleek's limited edition pout polish lip conditioner in sugar may in the centre of the lips for a peachy tint.
Set your whole make up application with Model in a Bottle's setting spray.
And you're done and good to head the door. I think this look is so versatile and elegant it can be worn on a night out, on a dinner date, on a family reunion and so on. You name the event. You can definitely wear this.
This looks great on all eye colours, and would look best on olive / warm complexions.
