ELF HITS & MISSES | essentials, mineral, studio !

HELLO GUYS!

I decided to re-post an updated version of ELF hits and misses products. 

I've tried so many ELF products and I think this is one of the most helpful posts I could ever post. 

I decided to divide products into 3 categories. 

HITS - great products, worth-getting

MEHS - Don't love them, but they're decent, so they're still useable

MISSES - Products that aren't worth getting, practically useless, or aren't worth trying to use up

When putting products into categories I also wanted to think about durability and long-term use. If a product's going to last a week, then it's not good enough to be a hit. 

I also listed the shades that fit the category, because at times I liked one shade but not the other.

 I included some extra information that I thought you should know in the brackets.

 

 

 ESSENTIALS LINE

HITS

Liquid eyeliner - copper, stardust 

Wet gloss lash and brow mascara

Lipsticks - nostalgic*, seductive, fearless*, charming*, captivating*, flirtatious*, sociable* (this is a controversial product. I honestly love them, but you need to prepare that these will break eventually, that's a huge disadvantage)

MEHS

Brightening eye colours - ethereal, butternut, drama

therapeutic lip balms- vanilla creme, blackberry creme, strawberry creme, orange creme

Blush - glow (a tad too sheer for my liking)

Nail polish - gum pink, innocent, mango madness, teal

MISSES

All over cover sticks - spotlight, pink lemonade (too chalky and dry, take a long time to blend)

Waterproof eyeliner pen - black (works nicely at first, but dries up far too quickly)

Shimmer eyeliner pencil - black bandit

Liquid eyeliner - Black

All over cover stick - apricot beige, honey, light beige (too thick and cakey)

Dramatic lashes (band is not flexible, lashes not consistent)

Natural lashes (band is not flexible, lashes not consistent)

Smudge eye sponge (too stiff, practically useless)

Eyeliner brush (too stiff, too thick, too flimsy, useless)

Shimmering Facial Whip (too watery, hard to blend)

Tone Correcting Concealer - light beige (too sheer to be used as a concealer)

Clarifying pressed powder - apricot beige, honey (too chalky, gave me a rash)

Foundation Brush  (too streaky)

Nourishing cuticle pen

Nail polish - mint cream, lilac, smokey brown
