Possible DUPEs?! ELF natural matte lipstick vs Essence soft rose lipliner ..
HELLO GUYS!
I hope you're all okay and enjoying your day.
I have a comparison post today of two products which can be possible dupes to each other..
but are they??
I am talking about
ELF matte lip color in natural
vs
Essence lip liner in soft rose
I initially purchased ELF's matte lip color in natural, loved it.
Then I found out about Essence, and something that caught my eye was this Essence soft rose lipliner.
Now this Essence lipliner costs like €1.03
whereas the
ELF one costs £3.50.
Left to Right: Elf natural, Essence soft rose |
Anyway here's what I think.
They might seem like possible dupes when used seperately,
HOWEVER
A. the formula is different - ELF's is more creamy
B. packaging - ELF's a twist up lipstick
C. shade - ELF's is more pink
D. pigmentation - ELF's is more pigmented
so that's about it.
Other than that, they're pretty similar, though.
BOTTOM LINE.
I don't really recommend the Essence lip liner
- a bit too drying, and the ELF one looks prettier on me.
Thanks for reading guys,
and take care :D

I have 3 essence lipliners,it's true that they are litle bit dry but i love them because they stay long on lips ;D
ReplyDeleteI agree! I don't really use lip liners much, and I only have 4, a red and nude by max factor, a nude-brown by Revlon and Cute Pink by Essence... I love the essence one, sometimes I even use it instead of a lipstick, as it's really pigmented, and if I wear lipbalm before applying it, or if I put a bit of gloss over it, it stays on for ages and looks lovely! :)
