On the younique foundation being better than w7 genius feather light

This is my reply to a youtube comment I got from the a younique representative claiming I have no idea what i'm talking about and stating the w7 foundation is crap and younique being better for the skin. This is meant for information purposes.

"Have you truly tried both? Because as I said in the video, the younique one is good but w7 is actually much better for my tastes, it has a very similar formula and better coverage which is an asset to me.

And since you said you know what you're talking about, here's actually a break down of the ingredient list, aside from the BOLD claims fed to presenters by younique that their makeup is actually GOOD for the skin and better than drugstore makeup.

This is the Younique foundation ingredient list.
Dimethicone, Cyclohexasiloxane,Isododecane, Vinyl Dimethicone/Methicone, Silsesquioxane Crosspolymer, Phenyl Trimethicone, Isohexadecane, Peg-10 Dimethicone, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Polybutene, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Acrylates/Polytrimethylsiloxymethacrylate Copolymer, Cyclopentasiloxane, Talc, Propylene Carbonate, Methicone, Parfum, Alaria Escaulenta Extract, Hydrogen Dimethicone

This is the w7 foundation ingredient list.
ISODODECANE, CYCLOPENTASILOXANE/ CYCLOHEXASILOXANE, DIMETHICONE, PHENYL TRIMETHICONE, VINYL DIMETHICONE/ METHICONE SILESQUIOXANE CROSSPOLYMER, DISTEARDIMONIUM HECTORITE, PEG-10 DIMETHICONE PHENOXYETHANOL, MAY CONTAIN: CI77891 (TITANIUM DIOXIDE), CI77492 (IRON OXIDE YELLOW), CI77491 (IRON OXIDE RED), CI77499 (IRON OXIDE BLACK).

The "may contain" section is just like the "may contain traces of nuts in packages. These are ingredients that are used in the same factory, so they re there for people who might be allergic to them.  The ingredients are related to pigments that are used in makeup that are of cosmetic grade and titanium dioxide is typically an SPF related ingredient.

Only the last ingredient of the w7 foundation (which must be the smallest of dose because in ingredient lists the first ingredients are the biggest in percentages in the formula and the last the least) is not repeated in the younique foundation. Meanwhile in the younique foundation there are the following added ingredients

Polybutene, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Acrylates/Polytrimethylsiloxymethacrylate Copolymer, Cyclopentasiloxane, Talc, Propylene Carbonate, Methicone, Parfum, Alaria Escaulenta Extract, Hydrogen Dimethicone

out of which only ONE ingredient is actually good for the skin which is Alaria Escaulenta Extract, and it is almost the last ingredient so I would say there is not more than approximately 0.5% of it in the entire foundation and it would not add any skincare benefits at all because it would be a microbial amount on each application. NONE of the other ingredients in the younique foundation are actually beneficial to the skin. Not to mention the added
Polybutene, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Acrylates/Polytrimethylsiloxymethacrylate Copolymer, Cyclopentasiloxane, Talc, Propylene Carbonate, Methicone, Parfum, and Hydrogen Dimethicone ingredients are "extra" and the longer ingredient list is never a good thing in makeup, especially when those same ingredients are silicone oriented and include "PARFUM" under which legally they can hide ingredients that they wouldn't want their customers to know about. Perfume is also not recommended in use of cosmetics, which the w7 foundation is free from making it better for sensitive skin and for applications around the eye area because the eye area cant handle perfume.

So whilst you're stating that the w7 foundation is crap because the company [ you seem so eager to stick up for because you're a representative for (so your opinion is completely biased unlike mine) ] is claiming that their foundation is good for the skin by throwing a drop of an ingredient that is good for the skin. On the contrary, it seems like the w7 is both better performance wise and ingredient-list wise because it has less ingredients and is unperfumed.

And that opinion is based on facts, not bias because I have something in it for me. I don't work for either companies, I'm just here to share my honest opinions based on truth. "
