I wanted to share with you guys how I faded my purple hair out with this non-damaging method. I have this weird recipe that actually fades out hair colour super fast. I have to say that before the purple I had blue hair, and before the blue I had this silver, which was more of a pale blue / teal. This is a very effective method to fade out and take out any hair colours (also effective on temporary, semi-permanent and permanent hair dyes) on top of bleached hair. It will also be effective if you have a lighter base to your hair, be it natural or hair dye, UNDERNEATH your darker hair colour. All I used was essentially a combination of bicarbonate soda or baking powder, head and shoulders anti-dandruff shampoo, shea oil and lathered it on my hair. I found that applying the mixure on damp hair makes you use less product and it kind of foams up so you can apply it more evenly. I think it's a very cool DIY, at-home remedy to removing an unwanted hair colour. You can do this as often as you would like, but I have to tell you this is HIGHLY drying on the hair.
